Learn all about the ancient Swedish knitting technique tvåändsstickat - two-ended, or twined knitting.
This unique technique produces a distinctively firm, beautifully warm and durable fabric that is ideal for making mittens and socks.
During this inspirational workshop you will learn the basics of twined knitting as well as a decorative twined cast on technique and distinctive twined raised stitch patterns.
You will work in the round using 5 double-pointed needles and there will be original patterns to work from as you learn and to take away and finish at home.
This workshop is suitable for the intermediate or more advanced knitter who is happy knitting in the round with 5 needles (or the magic loop method).
Once you have completed this workshop you will be able to knit and plan your own twined knitted projects.
