Join Stephen Ryan from Green Woodwork Ireland as he teaches you the skills required to become a traditional spooncarver.

You will learn the axe and knife carving skills required to produce your own wooden spoon.

The workshop will also teach you the art of whittling, allowing you branch out and produce other small items of treen using simple hand tools.

The wood you will be using is locally sourced, freshly cut and carved before it has dried out. This form of carving means that the wood is soft and therefore easily worked.

All tools and materials are supplied.

You do not need any experience to join this workshop although it should be noted that you will be working in close contact with sharp tools.
