Summer Intensive: A-Level Portfolio Prep

This week-long intensive course is perfect for those looking to develop portfolios to go on to a Foundation Diploma, Degree Level Art or even Industry Employment. Over the week you will work with the tutor and your fellow class members to not only build a stronger portfolio, but gain confidence in talking and writing about your practice and ideas. 

Through a series of varied sessions you will:

• Diversify your portfolio and progress your drawing skills
• Expand your knowledge of contemporary art and design practices
• Explore different ways to experiment, research and document your art practice
• Learn to discuss your practice and ideas in a variety of settings

Please bring to class any existing collections of work including physical portfolios, digital portfolios and sketchbooks.

About the Tutor

Hattie Godfrey is an artist and researcher whose work spans performance, installation, drawing and writing. 

Hattie trained in Fine Art at Central Saint Martins (UAL) and Goldsmiths (University of London) and in Msc Psychological Science at Queens University Belfast.

Her research is primarily focused on how art can confront and reshape ideologies of health. She is a studio holder at Flax Art Studios and the creative director and co-founder of Figure This Life Drawing.
