Paper Quilling or Filigree is the craft of rolling, twisting and forming thin strips of coloured paper into many different shapes.
These are then used to embellish cards and boxes which, in turn, become beautiful and practical artifacts which are a joy to own.
The craft can be traced back to medieval times but was revived by Victorian ladies.
Many stunningly beautiful items from this period survive today.
In this workshop you will be guided through the simple processes involved in paper quilling.
The tools and materials are readily available and by the end of the class you will have wonderful item to take away and be inspired to continue with the craft.
