Monologues: How to Direct Yourself

Give yourself the best preparation for auditions or performance in this supportive workshop that will teach you how to approach, analyse and deliver a monologue. 

You will learn practical skills as you develop a speech step-by-step. The tutor will supply all materials but feel free, if you want, to also bring two copies of a chosen piece.

No previous experience is needed.

The tutor, Rosie, was a professional actor for many years and teaches on the Queen's University Belfast Drama degree and offers many acting courses and workshops at The Crescent .

 

About the Tutor

After training for 3 years at drama school (RCS) Rosie worked for many years as a professional actor in Scotland, London and abroad.

She has a First Class Honours degree in English, was awarded an AHRC scholarship to pursue her MA in English (Medieval Studies) and has a PGCE in English and Drama from Warwick University.

Rosie facilitates Drama and Voice workshops in schools and for a range of organisations and she brings drama to young people, the elderly and those with learning disabilities.

She has taught on the QUB Drama degree for nine years.

Her various Drama classes have been running at The Crescent for 17 years.
