Mindfulness Yoga is a form of active body-based meditation, where you are invited to observe what is happening to you, and how that may feel as it arises. Your body is the vehicle for being in the present moment whilst practising yoga forms.
The physical element of these sessions is focused on taking more time with low-impact yoga forms, developing mindfulness, and connecting with your body sensations. Less about external value, alignment, or high impact, fast-paced strenuous flows, more about discovering your inner practice.
Sessions are light-hearted and designed for those who want to practice playfulness and who are ready to get more inquisitive and explore how it feels to be in your body.
** Please note that this course will have no class on Wednesday 15th March **
About the Tutor
Lu found their way to yoga in 2001 and noticed the huge benefits of yoga as a body-based approach to mindfulness and somatics.
Encouraged to go deeper into exploring yoga as an adjunct to conventional mind-based practices, they began a 200-hr mindfulness yoga teacher training in 2016, followed by a 300hrs TCTSY-F certification in 2019 (Trauma sensitive yoga facilitator). Throughout Lu’s life they have trained as a Personal Trainer, Exercise Referral Specialist, and have a Dance & Performance Arts Degree where they explored the mechanics and observations of natural movement.
