This 5-week course offers aspiring memoir writers the tools to get off the starting blocks.

Some of the key elements we will be looking at will be:

  • Choosing a theme
  • Use of time and action in shaping plot
  • Flashback devices
  • Whether to fictionalise or go for the unashamed truth.

By the end of the course you will gain important skills to sustain you throughout the development of your work.

Participants will also be provided with a list of inspirational memoirs appropriate to the work they are developing.
