Knitting know-how is ideal for knitters who are confident with the very basics of knitting but who now want to know more and start to take the next steps towards making more adventurous knitted projects.
These fairly intensive workshops will cover shaping, textural stitches, simple lace stitches, borders, flowers, leaves, squares, knitting in the round, using colour and pattern, finishing techniques, sewing up, understanding patterns, following charts and choosing the right yarns.
Each week there will be original projects to work on as you learn.
Although the workshops will follow a schedule, the teaching is flexible, allowing you to go at
your own pace.
Week 1: Explore shaping, textural stitches, simple lace stitches, borders, flowers and leaves.
Week 2: Learn how to work with colour and pattern, knit in the round, understand patterns
and follow charts.
Week 3: Understand how to choose the right yarns, get to grips with finishing and sewing up techniques and get started on more adventurous knitted projects.
Materials will be provided.
