About the Tutor
Viviana Fiorentino is a writer. She is passionate about communicating and sharing her passion for literature with people who study Italian as a second language and outside a strictly academic context.
She did her PhD in Italy in 2008, then she moved to Berlin, a city where she has lived and did research at the University as post-doc. She continued travelling and moving across Europe, from Switzerland to Germany, England, then Belfast in September 2013, where she worked at Queen’s University as researcher and where she is still living. In 2017, she left the academia to focus on the writing of novels and curate her poetry collections. She was awarded poetry prizes and took part in Literature Festivals and Poetry Readings. In 2018 she took part to ‘LabeLLit 2018: Take Me Home… A Thousand Times’. She is collaborating with the Italian LITblog ‘Poetarum Silva’ and published her poems in international magazines. Recently, she published her first novel and a new collection of poems.
Viviana loves words in all their forms, from reading to writing. She enjoys watercolour painting, playing the piano and knowing the world through travelling. Words of her body are Tango, Aikido and Yoga. She has a very tiny garden that she is trying to care for like her soul.
