Guitar: Intermediate

This course is for more experienced guitar players who already have a good understanding of the basics and wish to further develop their playing. 

Throughout the term you will study a range of guitar styles, analyse chord construction and rhythm and lead techniques, while developing your improvisation skills. 

The course is suitable for both acoustic and electric guitars. If bringing an electric guitar, please bring a small amplifier.

About the Tutor

Steve started playing the guitar at the age of 13 after hearing Jimi Hendrix.

Since then he has written, recorded and performed with many different bands and artists all over Ireland, experiencing a wide range of musical styles from folk to funk.

He has a first certificate in music/performing arts from Senior College, Dublin and currently plays guitar and sings with Belfast based Rock ‘n’ Roll 3-piece The Groundlings.
