Bright Young Things aims to develop a child’s Confidence, Communication and Creativity through the power of drama. The classes offer high quality drama workshops using improvisation, puppetry, confidence building games, original music and dance and much more!

The Littl’uns class is for ages 3-5 a pivotal age to begin to develop communication and confidence in a fun safe environment while the transition to full time education is occurring.

About Bright Young Things

The Award Winning Bright Young Things Drama was founded and led by LAMDA trained actor and primary school teacher Lisa Duffy in 2010.

They run classes in locations across Northern Ireland for ages 3-15 and are very proud run classes at their Belfast home in the Crescent Arts Centre on Thursdays and Saturdays. Their unique drama curriculum is based on child development milestones, with a drama programme developed for each distinct age group.

There are a range of classes available including:

Thursday (13 weeks)

Littl’uns (3-5 years) 3-4pm

Middl’uns (6-9 years) 4-5.30pm

Saturdays (13 weeks)

Littl’uns (3-5 years) 9.45-10.45am & 11-12pm

Middl’uns (6-9 years) 1-2.30pm

Big’uns (10-15 years) 2.30-4.30pm

The Littl’uns class is for ages 3-5 a pivotal age to begin to develop communication and confidence in a fun safe environment while the transition to full time education is occurring.

Middl’uns is for age 6-9 year olds, an age where more independent thinking is developed, friendship groups become more important and they have a strong desire to express themselves creatively.

Finally the Big’uns class is for 10-15 year olds, supporting confidence and communication in the critical transition to secondary school period, helping to solve big questions and develop that critical mind and a time when self-consciousness becomes more prevalent. The Big’uns class focuses on professional acting techniques, debate and presentation skills.

Whatever the age, our goal is to deliver a personalised experience so that every Bright Young Thing can be themselves, and every child can reach their full potential in whatever path they follow. The Bright Young Things programme includes drama games, improvisation, character study, physical theatre, singing, dancing and much much more.
