In this course you will learn the basics of playing in a West-African style percussion ensemble.
You will learn djembe technique, learn traditional rhythms, and increase your understanding of, and ability to ‘feel’ polyphonic rhythms. You will also experience the joy and connective power of playing drums with a group of people.
There will be drums provided, but if you have a djembe, bring it along.
